Wellness Services to Restore Homeostasis and Balance to the Body

Our goal of wellness intervention is always to restore homeostasis, or balance to the body, not to relieve symptoms or treat disease. When interferences to the nervous system are removed, homeostasis occurs. Human beings are innately designed to be in balance.

Wellness Through Natural Solutions

Individualized Care

Through our holistic approach, we care for our patients from the inside out, without the use of pharmaceuticals nor invasive procedures or practices. We analyze all factors affecting your ailments, including health history and current conditions, then come up with a plan to restore your body to its optimal function.

A Home Away from Home

When you step into our office, you are welcomed into our Radiant Family. You’ll never be herded like cattle; instead, you’ll be seen as the unique individual that you are. Holistic Wellness Services for the Whole Family

Chiropractic Services

A natural, non-invasive approach to health care.

Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that your body is a self-regulating, self-healing organism, controlled by the brain, spinal cord and nerves of the body. The vertebrae protect the nervous system, and when it’s misaligned or loses its normal motion, this causes the malfunction of the tissues and organs throughout your body.

The role of a wellness chiropractor is to support innate intelligence and remove interferences in the spine and other joints in the body, allowing your body to self-regulate and self-heal.

We use several techniques in our practice to best suit the patient, some of these include; Diversified, Thompson, Webster, Activator, Cranial Sacral, SOT, and more. Just ask if there is one that you would like used specifically.

Pediatric Chiropractic Care: Infants, Children, and Teens

Some adults may wonder: Why are more and more children starting to see chiropractors?

That’s a good question and the answer is simple: whether we have a large spine or a tiny little spine, if that spine is creating nerve distress, then our magnificent bodies may not operate smoothly.

Nerve Irritations (or vertebral subluxations) occur as a part of normal daily life. They result from physical, chemical and emotional stressors or ‘insults’ to our health, such as bad posture, all those falls while learning to walk, crawl or run, sleeping on the tummy, knocks and falls, poor food choices, sports injuries, carrying backpacks that are too heavy, as well as stress and anxiety.

Even before these lifestyle stressors have an impact, nerve irritation can occur in the uterus while the mom is in labor because of the long hours of compression, or because of complications during C-sections or because of the use of forceps.

Common reasons parents seek chiropractic care for children include neurosensory development, feeding difficulties including collaborative tongue tie care, sports injuries, posture, constipation, bedwetting, headaches, immune and mood function, and overall wellness.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used to balance the energy of the body.

The energy force within the body is called chi (Qi) and is thought to be the life force or life energy. The chi moves and functions through definite pathways throughout our bodies called meridians, which connect to the vital organs and to each other.

The human body is innately capable of maintaining homeostasis or balance within the body. Interference in homeostasis results in an imbalance of chi within the meridians leading to disease or dysfunction. An imbalance of energy can happen through trauma, toxins, or thought.

Acupuncture, therefore, is known to help a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: sinus congestion, prenatal/labor support, induction of labor, headaches/migraines, stress/anxiety, and low back pain.

Acupuncture options we provide include:

  1. Traditional needle acupuncture
  2. Electroacupuncture
  3. Ear Seeds

Bright Futures Neuro-Exercises

Neuro Exercises for Sensory Processing
Sensory Processing Disorder is not a psychological disorder, but rather a hardwired neurological and biological issue, categorized by a disconnect between the brain and nervous system. This can include touch, taste, sound, smell, and sight, as well as overall sense of body movement and awareness.

Those experiencing SPD can benefit from regular chiropractic adjustments, as well as neuro exercises to aid in the continued healing and alignment of the spine and overall body system.

Dr. Brandi has dedicated her career and continues to be active in post-graduate education to offer hope to children and parents that are experiencing neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Brandi created Bright Futures, a care program that incorporates chiropractic, optimal nutrition, cranial sacral techniques, and neurofunctional exercises that work together to help children achieve their maximal life potential.

Adjunctive Therapies

At Radiant, we offer several adjunctive modalities designed to enhance your care and help you feel your best. Those include:

  • Therapeutic ultrasound
  • Interferential
  • Electrotherapy
  • Hot/Cold Therapy
  • Intersegmental Traction
  • Functional Nutrition Labs
  • Cold Laser
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Graston Technique
  • Dry Needling

Interferential Electrotherapy

This type of stimulation uses an electrical current to cause a single muscle or a group of muscles to contract by placing electrodes on the skin.

As a result of these electrical impulses, you’ll experience decreased muscle tightness, pain, and swelling. Additionally, there will be an increase of blood flow to the injured tissue, which helps it heal.

Hot/Cold Therapy

Hot and cold therapy has been known to help relieve pain, reduce muscle spasms and decrease inflammation.

These therapies can be used by themselves or in conjunction with other therapies in the clinic to best suit your needs, depending on your specific symptoms.

Intersegmental Traction

Intersegmental traction tables are a way to help increase mobility and gently stretch spinal joints.

This therapeutic modality also helps to facilitate muscle relaxation and reduction of muscle spasms. The table is equipped with roller-type cams beneath the surface of the table creating a rolling contact that moves up and down the muscles on either side of the spine.

Functional Nutrition and Labs

You are what you eat! Healthy, nutritious foods are key to achieving wellness. Whether you need help choosing better foods for your family, working towards an ideal weight or dealing with food sensitivities and allergies, the doctors at Radiant Family Wellness can help create a specific plan for you and your family. A diet and nutrition evaluation, food allergy/sensitivity and micronutrient lab panel are available to help guide your individualized plan.

E-Stim

E-Stim is a type of physical therapy in which electrical pulses are sent through your skin to stimulate injured muscles in order to reduce pain. These signals cause muscle contractions, similar to when you flex them yourself. As a result of these repeated muscle contractions, your blood flow improves and your body is better able to heal itself in repairing your injured muscles.

Cold Laser

Unlike surgical and aesthetic lasers, cold lasers are not heated (hence the name). With this technique, low levels of light are used to stimulate healing. Wavelengths are applied directly to the affected area, your body tissue absorbs the light, damaged cells react to it, and regeneration is initiated. Although it may sound painful, rest assured – it’s not. It’s a noninvasive procedure in which there is no sound, vibration, nor heat. Plus, the treatment only takes a couple of minutes!

Cupping Therapy

If you have back pain, neck pain, headaches, or other similar issues, cupping therapy may be worth checking out. It’s a practice that has been used for thousands of years and is a favorite recovery method of many top-level athletes, including Michael Phelps.

During cupping therapy, heat or an air pump is used to create suction between the skin and a cup, which pulls the skin up and away from the muscles, allowing the decompression of muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow, enhances circulation, and jumpstarts the body’s own natural healing process. Some have compared cupping therapy to a reverse deep tissue massage!

Graston Technique

The Graston Technique is often recommended if you have soft-tissue injuries that limit your mobility, whether the pain is acute, chronic, or post-surgical. This technique requires the use of stainless steel instruments to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
Some of the most common conditions treated by the Graston Technique are carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis.

Dry Needling

As the name suggests, dry needling is the opposite of wet needling (which would encompass any type of fluid-based injection).

With dry needling, your doctor will first locate a trigger point on your body, usually right where you’re experiencing pain. When a trigger point is tapped by the needle, tension is released, blood flow restored, and the body sends an endorphin rush – nature’s original pain remedy.
